Chicagoans looking for a new public school for their children are invited to attend the NEW SCHOOLS EXPO 2008, sponsored by Parents for School Choice and the Chicago Public Schools on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Williams Multiplex, 2710 S. Dearborn in Chicago from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
The EXPO will showcase more than 60 campuses of new schools created through Renaissance 2010 as well as through CPS’ Office of New Schools. These schools include elementary and high schools located on the city’s Northwest, West, and South Sides as well as schools set to open in 2008 and 2009. Many of these schools offer innovative approaches to learning that could include: a longer school day, longer school year, special themes, college prep curricula and access to internships or other resources.
Guests to the EXPO will have the chance to talk with new school leaders, to start the application process on-site, and to hear from parents whose children attend the new public schools.
The New Schools EXPO is free. To learn more about the New Schools EXPO, call 1-888-7-MYCHOICE or go online at http://www.parentsforschoolchoice.org/.
We would appreciate it if you would forward this message to all those you think might be interested in learning more about applying to a new public school. We hope to see you there!
(For groups of 25 or more, please contact us at (312) 853-1211 to inquire about free bus transportation to the EXPO.)
